That is the question.\u00a0 Really, it\u2019s not so much a question, because if you are going to have a website you really should be blogging in order to be adding content on an on-going basis to organically help with your search engine rankings.\u00a0 No, it is not a question, it is really a matter of inspiration and motivation.\u00a0 All my clients with websites (all my clients), say to me \u201cI don\u2019t want to blog, I don\u2019t have anything to say.\u201d\u00a0 I know that is not strictly true, they have plenty to say, they are just not comfortable saying it in the written format.\u00a0 And as anyone who has ever stared at a blank page will tell you, inspiration can often be elusive.\u00a0 So I offer this advice to my typing-shy clients: find articles that relate to your business and point of view and then post them on your articles of interest page. Then on your blog all you have to do is say, \u201cI recently came across an article that said blah, blah, blah. I found it extremely interesting and I think you will too. To read the article, click here.\u201d Done. 3 sentences, maybe 4 if you expound on the article.\u00a0 5, if you really go crazy. Now you have added an article to your resource section and a blog posting. Viola. The author of the original article has provided you with your inspiration and motivation.\u00a0 All you have to do is schedule the time to actually type the few sentences and post.\u00a0 What could be easier?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

For those of you whom actually want to blog original content, then I suggest you try doing what I do. I carry a smallish notebook everywhere I go and when I see or hear something that interests me and I think would interest others, I make a note of it in my notebook. When I have a chance I add it to my never ending list of Blog Topics and when I have a chance I write a quick blog to have in reserve for when I am stuck with nothing to say. At this point I have about 40 blogs in reserve, which gives me a nice little cushion. My point is blogging doesn’t have to be the chore that many people think it is.
