Who is the best salesman of your business? Who best represents your business? Your brand? Well it should be, and it is you. To that end when you are out networking, running errands or even socializing for that matter, do you do your best to represent your business and brand?
I was at an after-hours poker game at the office of a prominent business coach. There was probably 20-25 people playing cards or waiting for a seat to open. A player to the left of the host asked him: “So what do you do?” and the host replied: “Right now I’m playing cards.” End of conversation. I was stunned, this was a host of a networking event and a coach. Perhaps he was coaching how not to be your own billboard.
The point is no matter where you are: networking, socializing, dining, working out, shopping, etc. you never know who you might meet and who that person may know. So you always want to put your best foot forward and represent yourself and your business and your brand in the best light possible. You also want to instill this kind of thinking into each and every one of your employees to represent themselves and your company in the best way possible at all times. No exceptions.

Sounds tiring, always being on, doesn’t it? But when you think about it are you really that different away from work than you are at work? If you answered yes, that leads to the question of why are you so different away from work? why the work persona? I would think that THAT would be tiring. Isn’t it much easier to simply just be yourself wherever you are, and be the best version of yourself at all times? If you think about it that way, then being your own billboard becomes a very easy proposition, and one that you should happily take on.
I’m not sure why but this weblog is loading extremely
slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it
a issue on my end? I’ll check back later and see if the problem still exists.
This paragraph is actually a good one it assists new internet users, who are wishing for blogging.
